I love this game, but I feel like the journey is better than the destination. I wish that the job system wasn’t so imbalanced and punishing compared to Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea.

The Dark Knights abandoned Regent Brantyn Morne, leaving us to clean up his leftovers in a battle that I thought was lost until Arycelle dealt the killing blow.

Brantyn: “Impossible… It… it cannot be…”

Catiua: “The Dark Knights are our enemy, not the Bakram who follow them. Dispatch a messenger. Inform them of our intent. If we treat them like rebels, we will only push them away.”

Former Bakram Knight: “It will be done, Your Majesty.”

“Do likewise the resistance. It cannot appear we show favor. Any who act against my orders will meet punishment swift and fierce.”

Michael: “As you say.”

“The war is finally over. From this day forward we are no longer Walister or Bakram. We are Valerian. We must forge a new kingdom together.”

Former Bakram Knight: “We swear you our undying allegiance, Princess Versalia.”

“I thank you.”

Michael stood up out of his chair. “The Dark Knights have sought refuge in the Hanging Gardens. We travel there to rid ourselves of them for good and all. A great battle awaits us, but beyond it, peace. We must take up the sword once more. For Valeria!”
