September 22nd, 2009: Cavern of Evil – Shriek of Death
Axel, of all people, found Taro. The Dark Hero told the boy, “If I didn’t take the taxi, you’da drowned for sure. I’m sorry, kid. I’m sorry you got hurt like this.
Here’s the bill for the taxi, kid. When you get home, tell your parents I said, ‘Thanks’.”

September 21st, 2009: Director urged Axel to leave.
“But, I never meant to hurt those kids…!” pleaded Axel.
“Ehh, that’s the risk you take when you take people hostage,” stated the Director plainly.
Suddenly, Axel said he had to “find himself”. Then, he called a taxi, and it picked him up.
“I just had a weird chill run down my spine,” said Adell. “I’ve got a bad feeling…”

SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2009: Leaving the mixed monster mansion behind, we visited the Poisonous Swamp. Then, we got attacked by zombies.
After the battle, Tink explained his plan to kill Adell to Rozalin. The frog hedged his bets on a level 100 monster eating Adell.
“I see… you are evil,” praised Rozalin.
“Au contraire,” countered Tink. “I am not as evil as you… Oh ho ho ho ho ho!”
“All who oppose my father must die…” Rozalin thought to herself. “He desires a fight, so his fate is already sealed. But if that happens, how will Taro and Hanako feel…”

We get a bit more obscure in this installment. Welcome to… Chiller! Welcome to… a light gun arcade game where the scariest thing about it may be the in-game moral implications, or lack thereof. You see, in two of the four stages of Chiller, you assume the role of a gun-toting torturer who shoots people attached to torture devices to bits. The violence is quite explicit and shocking, especially for a game made in 1986. This was long before Mortal Kombat and Night Trap began to decay our moral fiber.

I realized that there were some more Alien games that I could talk about, so here we are! Continue reading Halloween Special 2: Halloween Harder – More Alien Games
Who were the best characters, statistically speakers, in my game of TLH? I have a formula for determining that in RPGs, which is calculated by ranking the characters against each other in each stat. Say that the Tank is number one in terms of strength, the Female Cleric is second, and the Mage is last. That means that the Tank gets three points in that category, the Cleric gets two, and the Mage only gets one. Whoever is first in a stat gets the max number of points, which total the overall number of party members (except in special cases with games that have characters that become inaccessible like Faize, or an RPG with a ton of different characters).
Without further ado:
