Live-A-Live Part Six

January 4, 2012: I recently learned that the Flow chapter is also known as “Blood Flow”. That makes sense considering the liquified humans in the chapter’s storyline.

The Captain Square minigame has groovy music.

At least Buriki Daioh’s theme was pretty cool.

January 5, 2012: Is anything gonna happen in this chap? It’s all PLOT PLOT PLOT PLOT PLOT PLOT

Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom Part Three

August 21, 2012: Let’s try to start Ayn’s quest properly by talking to everyone in Agoe.

Ugh, time to relearn what everything is/does.

So, we’re supposed to find “the legendary Satellite”.

Final Fantasy XIII Part 10

October 18, 2010: Three months. That’s how long it took for me to get back in the saddle again.

Well, two and half, technically.

Allow me to describe Barthandelus’ basics. He has 3.3 million HP, nasty lasers, debuffs, and two particular moves you’ll come to hate: Thanatosion Laughter and Apotosis. The former is just a brutal laser barrage. The latter neutralizes all of your buffs and cures his debuffs.

Final Fantasy XIII Part Nine

July 13, 2010: I sure anticipate meeting this fal’Cie.

After a horrifying detour, we rode Roly-Poly into the Sulya Springs. It was beautiful. A springs situated in a ravine – waterfalls and small rainbows everywhere.

Vanille asked to see Serah, and she reflected on meeting her.

Day 9, Bodhum. Vanille and Serah gabbed on the shore. Nature painted a glorious sunset for them.

This place was beautiful, and it was my Focus to destroy it,”, narrated Vanille.

Vanille has more love than most fal’Cie on Gran Pulse or Cocoon. Continue reading Final Fantasy XIII Part Nine

Infinite Undiscovery Part Three/Final Thoughts and Stats

June 21, 2010: I’ve found a way to make decent cash in this game. In the Dais Cave, one of those enemies disguised as treasure chests hangs out close to the entrance. You see, you can just ext and re-enter to respawn the chest. Kill it and you rake in 8,000-plus Fol.

IIRC, Fol is the currency used in other tri-ACE games as well.

On the flip side, it gives zip for experience points. Well, 20, specifically.

It was monotonous hell, but I enjoyed by spending spree. Equipment for all!

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World Part Six

July 28th, 2013: The Day Before

Tenebrae said that he was glad to have known Lord Ratatosk as Emil. Aww.

Marta obtained the title Pact of the Heart

NOOO STOP WITH THE FEELS

Marta and Emil admitted they loved each other and kissed. Emil said that she would always be in his heart even if she found someone else to love. But she said that he would always be the one for her.

When they blush, it’s so cute. Continue reading Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World Part Six

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World Part Five

July 20th, 2012: The Witching Hour

I found a secret Katz village on the map. There isn’t anything mind-blowing there, but there is this Katz pun: “My wife ate a ball of wool and gave birth to a litter of mittens, meow! Get it?”

…ew. Continue reading Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World Part Five

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World Part Four: Tales of the Nadir of Dungeon Design

July 5th, 2012: I love the animations of the Katz Guild member.

The parts where you have to navigate dark stairways with lightning trying to zap you is annoying.

Why does Regal still wear clothes that look like his prison gear?

I missed the part where Regal put his old prison clothes back on in an attempt to snap “Lloyd” out of his madness when we briefly saw him in Flanoir. But it wouldn’t have worked anyway because that was not the real Lloyd.

The DISSIDIA Saga Part Two

January 29th, 2010: At the end of Shade Impulse Chapter 4-2, you have to face Chaos.

An odd thing about Chapter Four: There are no Destiny Point bonuses. DP are added or subtracted throughout most levels for extra items and PP upon completion.

I realized that this game has me like Resident Evil Outbreak with lots of unlockables that need to be bought with points, and scenarios that are meant to be replayed more than once.

Dragon Age: Origins – July 2nd, 2011 (Part Two) – July 4th, 2011: Miles to Go

July 2nd, 2011 Continued

Now, I get to be Anora’s right-hand lady. Joy.

Unlocked Rabble-Rouser and Recruiter. I did not see that coming…

That is to say, that recruiting Loghain was the key to unlocking the latter.

Loghain survived the ritual.

Of course he did. Continue reading Dragon Age: Origins – July 2nd, 2011 (Part Two) – July 4th, 2011: Miles to Go
