Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Part Seven: God’s Plan

May 3, 2016: Once again, Light recognized a love that should have been there. In one of the loading screens, she realizes that she has no idea what happened to “the heart I tried so hard to hide”.

Unlocked Expert Stylist. 16/42

When Light feeds Bartz, she may say, “Kweh kweh.” It’s cute. Continue reading Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Part Seven: God’s Plan

Moogle Village is only accessible from 1900 hours to 0700 hours, when the red vines unfurl in Jagd Woods. Kinda contrived. Continue reading Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Part Six

Lightning Returns: Final Fantast XIII Part Five

April 22, 2016: The (Phantom) Rose

A Rose by Any Other Name”: Light gets a Phantom Rose from the ghost of Myka, a victim of the murders of would-be Saviors. She actually wanted to be the Savior. When she finished her tale, it saves her soul, leaving behind the Phantom Rose. Light gives the Rose to a kid and his mother in the Warren.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Part Four

April 14, 2016: Snow has Serah’s pendant. Did Noel or Hope give it to him?
I bought a new garb, Velvet Bouncer, which is “made for a mystical attacker”. It’s pretty boss. Makes quick work of weaker enemies and groups with Blitz and Heavy Slash.

Velvet Bouncer

AFAIK, it’s not a reference to The Bouncer, a weird little game that Square and Dream Factory made on the quick for the PS2 shortly after its launch.

April 10, 2016: “The Girl Who Cried Wolf”: Lightning encounters a ringing telephone in a booth, and decides to answer it. On the other line is Louise, a girl who claims to be chased by people with weapons.

Once, Lightning committed a terrible sin. She needed help to battle Chaos, and so she called upon her sister, Serah. But she was cursed with the ability to see the future, and it claimed her life.

Lightning underwent a crystal sleep that felt deathless until the light of Bhunivelze, god of gods, touched her. He told her that if she saved the dying world, Serah could come back.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon Part Five

December 7, 2014: Guardian of the Darkness maze, up to floor forty-seven.
Ugh, I’m all full of stuff in my inventory again.
June 5, 2015: Just goofing around in the GotD dungeon and sorting my inventory.
I think that I should just move on in the main dungeon, which means that it’s time to face… Raffaello. Our friend.
There are two jobs that I haven’t unlocked yet.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon Part Four

September 29, 2014: Rise of the Dragoon
Decided to restart the Guardian of Light maze to grind and discovered that the Dragoon job has some incredible abilities. Their Lance attacks can attack two enemies lined up in a row.
The PS1 Chocobo’s Dungeon game looked like it had some serious feels too.
I found Treasure Talons that increase your item drop rate, but my main talons are full of attributes already. Shall I sacrifice one for the other? I’m already lugging around too many items as-is. I can’t even dump my stuff off to empty my inventory so that I can do memory dungeons.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon Part Three

September 5, 2013: Smashing the Darkness
You know what sucks? Malboros, Iron Giants, and Dragons.
The Scholar job finally gains some value at level three when you learn the Search ability.
In memory dungeons, there’s this weird sound sometimes that sounds like gargling.
